You’d like to know a little more about how our Board Game Cafe works?
A Board Game Cafe is a little different than your regular cafe. We do serve great coffees and tasty cakes, both from local Lancashire suppliers, and we can whip you up the best dairy free dark hot chocolate in town (try it with chilli syrup on a frosty day.) And we also offer take away food & drink if you’re dashing to catch your train. Plus we also offer a selection of local and craft beers, as well as a few wines and cocktails f you’re staying into the evening.
But really the reason most people come to visit Dice & Donuts is our board game library!
We have over 400 titles for you to play and it’s growing every month. You pay the cover charge of £3.50 per person, or £2 for under 16s, (under 16s must be accompanied by an adult), then you’re welcome to stay from the moment we open until we close and play as many games as you like.
Plus our friendly staff are on hand to help you choose your game, and even teach you the rules, so you’re not wasting precious time on long rule books.
But if you’re staying all day we offer you the option to open a tab at the bar and for every £10 you spend on food, drink or games in our retail section, one of the party plays for free!
Why the cover charge?
The cover charge helps us keep our prices open & honest. The majority of this charge goes to replacing and repairing games in our library, it also goes towards expanding the collection. It also takes pressure off our staff to make sales, and allows us to be truly honest and open about the games we suggest, and the games we stock in our retail section.
If you’re bringing a party of 5 or more people, we recommend you book your table in advance. All you need to do is call the cafe (01772824969) email us (firstname.lastname@example.org), you could even send us a tweet, or a Facebook message if you like.
